US Poultry makes changes
Formed in 1947, the US Poultry & Egg Association is the world’s largest and most active poultry organization. Membership includes producers and processors of broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock, as well as allied companies. The association has affiliations and member companies worldwide.
In the recent meeting of the association, the following elected offices have been filled:
Henry Welch was elected chairman of the board of directors. Welch has been a member of the poultry industry for over 34 years. He is currently the production manager at
Peco Foods. Henry is a graduate of
Mississippi State University, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in poultry science.
Monty Henderson was elected treasurer of the board of directors. Henderson is a graduate of the
University of Arkansas, where he received a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness. Henderson began his career in the poultry industry as a broiler service manager for
Tyson Foods.
Steve Willardsen was named secretary of the board of directors. Willardsen has been a part of the poultry industry for over 25 years. Willardsen has been on the US Poultry board of directors since 2001. He is a graduate of
Utah State University with a degree in agribusiness.
