Poultry professionals from around the globe will find out about the latest developments and technical innovations in the sector at the upcoming EuroTier trade show this November.

The theme at the International Poultry Conference on the day prior to the trade fair will be what poultry companies are facing due to the sharp rise in prices and what options are available to them. Also, each day. the Pig & Poultry forum will offer presentations on current issues concerning poultry farming.

Whole-farm Livestock Management Concepts (stand B06, hall 26)

A range of possible whole-farm livestock management concepts for pullet husbandry that aim to give consideration to animal welfare, cost-effectiveness and environmental aspects will be presented. In this thematic focal point, different concepts can be discussed with experts on the basis of animal housing and farm models.

International Poultry Conference

In keeping with tradition, the poultry industry will be extending an invitation to the International Poultry Conference in the Convention Center (room 1B) a day prior to EuroTier on 14 November 2022. The sharp increase in production costs due to high purchasing costs on the raw material and energy markets will form the focus of the keynote presentations and the subsequent panel discussion.

The Pig & Poultry forum

Focal topics for pig and poultry farms will be highlighted in the Pig & Poultry forum. Aspects such as animal welfare, resource efficiency and pioneering husbandry systems in changing climatic conditions are on this year’s agenda. The issue of ‘Specialisation or diversification?’ will be discussed for farms in export-oriented countries, and innovative approaches for dealing with avian influenza will also be presented.

Talk Tier (Animal) (hall 26, B33)

DLG will address the international animal production sector’s biggest challenges on the ‘Talk Tier/Animal’ podium: agricultural policy, food security, climate protection, animal welfare, sustainability. Consisting of international experts from the fields of science, consulting and farming, the panel discussions will be taking place each day (except Thursday) from 12.00-14.00.
