Merck Animal Health (known as MSD Animal Health outside the USA and Canada) has announced an educational webinar to help poultry producers improve the performance of their flocks by creating a more productive intestinal health environment.

“Through the ‘Go Beyond’ program, Merck Animal Health offers poultry producers numerous tools to help them ensure the intestinal health of their flocks and improve productivity,” said Jonathan Perkins, Merck Animal Health. “We are pleased to offer this webinar to educate producers about why a balanced and stable gut is essential for poultry health and performance.”

The webinar will provide poultry producers the opportunity to learn how to utilise the basic principles of gut flora development, manage the lower intestine beyond digestion, and rehabilitate intestinal microflora. Participants will also learn about tools for reducing harmful microflora that can impair performance.

The webinar will feature presentations from industry experts, including Dr Stephen Collett, clinical associate professor at the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center (PDRC) in the College of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Georgia, and Dr Fernando Vargas, global technical director, Merck Animal Health.

The webinar, “Optimizing the Gut Environment for Improved Performance,” will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 8:30 a.m. CDT. Poultry producers can register for the webinar for free by clicking here.
