For the worldwide poultry and feed industries, all roads will shortly lead to the 2010 International Poultry and Feed Expo. The show is being held from 27-29 January at the Georgia World Congress Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The IPE and IFE have a long-standing tradition as an important global marketplace for the international poultry and feed industries. During the previous edition, almost 18,000 industry leaders from throughout the US and 96 other countries travelled to Atlanta to attend the show. Over 850 exhibiting companies displayed the latest technology, equipment, supplies, and services for all phases of poultry, egg, and feed production and processing. All segments of the industry are represented: live production, hatcheries, processing, further processing, marketing, feed milling, rendering, and all support activities.
Educational programme
Complementing the exhibit floor, education programmes will keep management up-to-date on key industry issues. Prior to the show, the Scientific Forum will again be held in the congress centre. This will take place on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 January. Different kinds of papers will be presented by specialists from the US and around the world. The education sessions will kick off on Tuesday with the second annual Animal Agriculture Environmental Sustainability Summit, and will continue on Wednesday morning. Programmes on Thursday and Friday will include Animal Agriculture under Attack, Nutrient Management Plan Workshop, Equipment Safety Workshop, and the AFIA International Feed Education Programme.
The poultry Market Intelligence Forum will be held on Friday 29 January from 9-11 am. Prominent US economist Dr. Donald Ratajczak will be the featured speaker offering an insight on US and global economic conditions. In addition to Ratajczak, the agenda will include industry economists Mike Donohue and Dr. Paul Aho. They will examine the issues that will impact the domestic and international poultry industry in 2010.
@tlanta Pavilion
The Expo will also include cooking demonstrations with poultry and egg products in a new @tlanta Pavilion on the exhibit floor. USPOULTRY and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau are also teaming up to promote the first annual FeatherFest. Participating local restaurants will compete for the “Best Of” with menu categories featuring poultry and egg dishes. Many Atlanta restaurants will also be offering specials and discounts during IPE week. Exhibit hours will be 10 am – 5 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 am until 1 pm on Friday.
