Avicola Carminatti,a Brazilian chicken meat producer, will soon invest Real 10 million ($5.3 million) in a chicken slaughterhouse in the southern Parana state

This was announced by the company’s president, Joel Carminatti, who plans to build the slaughterhouse in the municipality of Santo Antonio do Sudoeste.
The facility, which will initially focus its operations on hen slaughter (there are no specialised hen slaughter houses), will have a daily slaughtering capacity of 30,000 birds. The facility’s output will be directed to both the domestic and international markets, and the construction will generate 350 direct jobs in the region.
The municipality Currently has some 140 small poultry farms. However, the slaughterhouse construction is seen to double that number.
On August 14, Carminatti representatives will meet with Parana’s vice-governor, Orlando Pessuti, to discuss the investment.
