AA Russian customer group enjoys Scottish visit

Aviagen recently hosted an operational tour of its Edinburgh facilities for its Russian Arbor Acres customers, showcasing its breeding programme, quality control methods and management techniques.

The three day tour saw seven customers, based in Kazakhstan and Russia, travelling to the Scottish capital in order to share information and improve future collaboration between both parties.

The visit was hosted by Dejan Bosanac, technical service manager. He began the tour with discussions surrounding the company’s Research & Development programme and global performance figures. He went on to explain methods regarding the performance increases of Arbor Acres broiler chickens before discussing new technical and veterinary techniques that could be implemented.

The second day of the tour took a more hands-on approach with attendees being shown around one of Aviagen’s Grandparent (GP) farms.

Dejan Bosanac said: “Having customers come to one of our farms was a fantastic way for them to see our breeding history and Grand Parent (GP) stock first hand. The visit also provided a great opportunity to demonstrate how we are constantly innovating for the future.”
