Brazil: significant rise in chicken exports
Brazilian exports have seen a rise of 5.4% this month.
Last month (July), Brazil exported 258,700 tonnes of chicken. This is an increase of 5.4% compared to the previous month. What is also noteworthy is that the export of meat in July 2006 was 178,000 tonnes, which translates into a 45% increase in a year-on-year comparison.
The revenue that Brazil received from exports was approximately US$370 million, which is an increase from the previous months (June) figure of US$356 million. This is a significant jump from the 2006 July revenue figure of US$178.2 million.
