Ethiopia’s poultry sector gets a boost
New impulses are given to the Ethiopian layer industry with the start of new chick production farms in different parts of the country.
The demand for table eggs is rapidly growing in this vast country with 80 million population.
Alema Farms, the ISA Brown producer and distributor for Ethiopia, organised in collaboration with Koudijs Feed and ISA 3 poultry seminars in the country.
A large number of farmers attended the seminars in Debre Zeit, Nazareth and Shere (Tigray region). Special focus was given to quality feeding of hybrid layers; as well as layer management in rural farm settings.
