MEP and Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), Avril Doyle, will host a public hearing entitled, The Community Animal Health Strategy and Vaccine Technologies in the European Parliament in Brussels on Wednesday 13 February 2007.
The focus of the event will be on the fourth pillar of the recently published EU Community Animal Health Strategy, the support of Science, Technology and Research.
The hearing will look at the latest developments in vaccine technology as enabling tools to achieve the goals of the Community Animal Health Strategy, and the crucial role that technological developments can have in alleviating the negative impacts of infectious and endemic diseases in agriculture will be explored.
