Fire destroys thousands of chicken eggs

A fire has destroyed thousands of eggs at a major egg producing facility west of Brockville.

According to the police, the blaze at Burnbrae Farms began late Monday night.
An estimated 30-40,000 chickens perished in the furnace, as well as several buildings. The damage estimate is well over $1 million. There is no indication of what caused the fire.
