First Sao Paulo company to produce and export organic chicken

Korin Agropecuária is aware of the global demand for organic meat. Now, the company is the first from Sao Paulo to produce organic chicken.

According to the company, the animals are fed organic feed free of any antibiotics, hormones and growth promoters, according to international organic regulations.
A small part of the organic poultry meat is offered to the domestic market, but the main focus is exports. “France, Germany, Japan and the US are great consumers of organic products,” stated Edson Shiguemoto, commercial manager of Korin.
Apart from organic feeding, the birds also graze. “This method increases the animals’ well-being, resulting in a more healthy bird with better taste and more pleasant texture,” explained Shiguemoto.
