International Poultry Expo expects growth in 2011

Both the numbers of attendees and exhibiting companies at the 2011 International Poultry Expo are expected to increase, according to members of US Poultry & Egg Association’s Exhibitor Advisory Committee.

The committee met recently to review IPE 2010 show and make recommendations for 2011. The global poultry event is scheduled for 26-28 January in Atlanta.

“The 2010 show was well received, and the Exhibitor Committee was well pleased,” said committee co-chairman Einar Einarsson, Marel Food Systems. “The number of attendees was up from 2009, and traffic on the floor this year was brisk and consistent. Committee members are looking forward to continued improving economic conditions and a larger show in 2011, with even more attendees and a substantial increase in exhibitors and display area,” he added.

“The exhibitor committee reviews all aspects of the IPE, including exhibit rules and policies, education session schedules, and hotel procedures,” said committee co-chairman, Fred Cespedes, American Proteins. “Our goal is to continue to fine-tune the show and keep growing the world’s premier poultry event.”

The 2011 IPE will remain in Halls A and B of Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center, after moving out of Hall C for 2010. “Halls A and B make it more convenient for both exhibitors and attendees,” Cespedes explained. “The location and layout in A and B provide advantages for exhibiting, registration, and meetings. And access from the hotel district is much easier,” he said.

The IPE will continue to co-locate with the International Feed Expo, sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association.
