Int’l poultry congress begins 9 November

The two-day third international poultry congress will begin tomorrow (November 9). Various issues relating to the poultry industry will be discussed.

General Secretary of the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA), Dr Bashir Mehmood Bhatti announced that after the launch of the congress there will be two technical sessions in which issues relating to the poultry sector, including poultry production, health, nutrition, marketing and hatchery operations, will be discussed by the experts and participants. He also said that modern technology relating to poultry operations will be displayed by both local and international companies.
With the aim of encouraging the consumption of poultry products, ladies are invited to participate in a cooking competition. The winners will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and participating ladies will be given certificates, gifts and consolation prizes.
In the concluding session of the congress, Bhatti stated that recommendations would be put forward to the government for boosting poultry sector for the prosperity of the country.
Over 5000 participants including dignitaries both from public and private sectors are expected to attend the congress, held 9-10 November at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad, Pakistan. The Pakistan Poultry Association has asked farming community and other stakeholders and people to attend the congress.
