Agricultural publishing house Misset appointed Marc Klumper, as publisher for its international division, which includes Poultry World.
In this role, Klumper will be responsible for the development of Misset’s international portfolio. His appointment fits into the Misset strategy, continuing to develop its omnichannel approach to provide B2B information to customers in the agricultural industries, both in the company’s home base, the Netherlands, as well as internationally.
Klumper started his new position with Misset on September 1st, 2021, and brings years of experience within the media sector. Over the last 7 years, he has worked as product development manager at the Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute (NEN). In that role, he was responsible for the development and publication of (online) trainings, web tools, webinars and congresses. In the years prior, he worked for years as market manager industry at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands and as commercial manager and publisher for Reed Business Information.
Klumper said, “I am excited about this challenge and I am looking forward to advancing Misset’s growth ambitions in general and those of Misset International in particular in the months and years to come. The (international) agriculture and food sectors are facing enormous challenges, like the process towards more sustainability, as well as the growing global demand to animal protein.
“That will change and broaden the demand for relevant B2B information. Our job is to meet that demand, by continuing to provide quality content, developing a variety of digital products and subscription types and by bringing our readers into close contact with new and existing parties within the marketplace.”
For over 100 years, Misset has been the publisher of leading (multimedia) titles within the agricultural sector in both the Netherlands and internationally. With the appointment of Klumper, Misset is aiming to step up its ambitions on an international scale.
In that context, it is about the titles All About Feed, Pig Progress, Poultry World, Dairy Global and Future Farming, which are being distributed and read globally. In recent years, Misset has invested in an omnichannel strategy. Apart from magazines, the publisher has been developing websites, webinars, apps, podcasts and events for these brands.
Cor Jan Willig, CEO of publishing house Misset, is pleased with Klumper’s appointment. He said, “Marc is the commercial man we were looking for. He will bring the knowledge and experience needed for Misset’s continued growth. I am looking forward to our cooperation with confidence.”
