Nutrition Physiology launches new poultry probiotic

Nutrition Physiology Company has launched PoultriMax, an exclusive probiotic applied post-pelleting, which could change the poultry industry’s approach to probiotics for broilers, turkeys and layers.

PoultriMax is applied – using a proprietary, cutting-edge technology – after the pelleting process has been completed to ensure the beneficial microbes remain alive at the point of consumption. Once birds are fed the probiotic, these microbes reanimate in the gastrointestinal tract where they improve digestive stability, nutrient absorption, and immune function, resulting in healthier birds and increased profitability.

Additionally, at the hatchery, it can be mixed in water or gel and applied on day-old chicks and poults through standard spray vaccination equipment. Used in combination with the post-pellet process, chick and poult performance improves significantly.

“NPC has built a reputation of providing quality probiotic solutions with the dairy and feedlot cattle industries for more than 20 years. Now, we can provide high-quality, effective solutions for the poultry industry as well,” says Jeff Mellinger, vice president of NPC. “We are eager to officially share this exciting technology with the poultry industry.”
