Over 400 people treated for salmonella poisoning

More than 400 people, who have eaten chicken sandwiches at a popular restaurant in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, are now seeking medical assistance.

According to the Sarajevo Clinic Hospital officials, the number of people seeking medical assistance in Sarajevo for food poisoning has increased overnight from 300 to 425. Over 100 people were hospitalised due to severe salmonella poisoning, and more patients were expected in the next 72 hours.
The patients had all eaten chicken sandwiches in a popular fast food and pizzeria restaurant in the city’s centre.
