Petit Jean Poultry closes another plant

09-12-2008 | |

US poultry processor Petit Jean Poultry is closing another poultry processing plant in Danville, Arkansas at the end of January.

The reason behind this decision is the loss of the poultry processor’s main contract with Tyson Foods, for which it deboned chicken.

Consequently, almost 500 workers will lose their jobs.

In August, the poultry processor shut its plant in Buffalo, Missouri, for the same reason.
