With larger parts of the world effectively in lock down status due to the Corona virus outbreak, players in the poultry industry are also forced to adapt their businesses. Dutch based firms Moba and Pas Reform are just 2 examples of companies adjusting their day to day operations.
Travel restrictions and social distancing are key. Of course primary poultry production has to continue and it will. Farms are in full operation, as are hatcheries, egg packers and processors. That said, many contacts within the sector are less crucial and less time dependent and thus can be postponed.
Moba has announced that it will be taking precautionary measures for the health and safety of its customers, employees, agents and the wider communities, while -at the same time- do everything it can to maintain its current service level.
Royal Pas Reforms CEO Harm Langen reached out to his customers, saying his company has implemented travel restrictions on employees in order to protect their health and wellbeing, cancelled or postponed all larger meetings and training sessions until further notice and we has asked business partners to postpone site visits to Pas Reform locations wherever possible.
Both Moba and Pas Reform state that their helpdesk staff and support levels will be maintained in all its offices worldwide and ask customers to use using tele-conferencing, Skype and other digital communication channels to maintain contact and host virtual business meetings, where possible.
