Robert Bragg, a professor at the University of the Free State, South Africa, has developed a unique disinfectant to treat poultry diseases.
The story claims that the disinfectant controls the spread of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
According to Bragg his department is also on the brink of discovering an antidote against the virus that attacks the immune system of birds. He says he has developed a disinfectant, in collaboration with a company in Stellenbosch, against Newcastle sickness.
The product is registered in 15 countries and is also very effective against avian influenza.
