South Korea allows Taiwan exports

Taiwan has made a victory in their efforts to find new markets for agricultural exports. South Korea has agreed to open the door to poultry products from four Taiwanese food processors, according to a Council of Agriculture spokesman.

During negations that have taken place over the past several months, South Korea has unveiled certain health regulations concerning the import of Taiwanese poultry products. Food safety officials were sent to Taiwan to conduct field surveys.

Satisfied with the quality control measures and facilities of four Taiwanese poultry product companies, South Korea has announced that these four companies may commence exports of poultry products to the South Korean market.

According to officials, local poultry products manufacturers in South Korea will now be able to enjoy an increase in their revenues.
