Sweden reports Newcastle Disease outbreak

The ag authorities of Sweden reported an outbreak of Newcastle disease in Skåne Län in the South.

The farm, housing 20,000 breeding poultry (parents) had a history of egg drop during the past 2 weeks. Tests have revealed Newcastle Disease agent Paramyxovirus type 1. All 20,000 birds were culled.

A protection zone (3 km) and a surveillance zone (10 km) are put in place around the farm.
