Thailand: Poultry feed prices drop by 5%

Animal feed production costs for maize, soybean meal, tapioca and rice bran have dropped 5% in Thailand in line with cheaper raw material costs.

Yanyong Phuangrach, director of the Commerce Ministry’s Internal Trade Department, reported that following a department cost analysis showing that production costs for animal feeds have fallen significantly; maize prices have dropped to 8.07 baht per kg in October from 9.32 baht in July, while soybean meal is now 16.99 per kg against 17.34 baht.
