Tyson completes new wastewater system

31-10-2008 | |

Tyson Foods has completed a new US$4.8 mln wastewater pre-treatment system at its poultry processing plant in Monett, Missouri, USA.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the new system, which has replaced the previous system that had been in use since 1969.

The new system includes two dissolved air flotation systems, an equalisation basin and additional equipment allowing the company to “double-treat” its wastewater from the plant, before it is sent to municipal treatment facilities.
