British duck breeding company, Cherry Valley, has set its sights on the growing Chinese restaurant industry in the United Kingdom.

“We have come to the understanding that quality, consistency and value for money are some of the most important purchase decision factors to the Chinese caterer,” Eric Jagger, sales and Marketing director of the British company, said when unveiling the company’s new packaging and slogan “More meat and less fat” last week.

According to Jagger, the new promotion drive is aimed to attract the increasing number of younger people studying or working in UK and more and more new chefs in the country.

Cherry Valley produces 9.1 million ducks each year, taking about 70% of the market share in UK, where Chinese restaurants are the biggest consumers of its ducks.
