US: Bird health awareness week scheduled
In an ongoing effort to promote awareness about the diseases that threaten bird health, the US Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is designating November 1 – 7 as the first Bird Health Awareness Week.
During this week, as part of the Biosecurity For Birds campaign there are planned activities that share information about owning backyard poultry and keeping birds healthy and free from infectious diseases.
