Gold’n Plump Poultry has recently launched a new brand of natural chicken – Just BARE.
Unique to the brand is Just BARE’s traceable package, on which a “Family Farm Code” is printed next to the expiry date. Consumers can enter the 3-digit code on-line to learn the location of the farm where the chicken was raised.
According to Julie Berling, director of brand strategy and advocacy, this new concept is about providing transparency, and allowing consumers access to information regarding the product (and brand) they have purchased.
