BRF has said it will build a new poultry processing plant in Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian poultry giant made an announcement to the market in late October that it had reached a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority over the development.
The new plant will produce added value products such as breaded, marinated and burger-based foods.
BRF will primarily serve domestic markets, but exports would also feature” – BRF.
The company is a major presence in the Gulf region, and has operated in the Middle East since the 1970s.

“The location, capacity, investment schedule, capital structure and other conditions related to this plant will be established soon during the specification phase of the project,” a statement said.
“The Company will keep its shareholders and the market in general duly informed about any relevant matter related to the present announcement.”
