Hybrid Turkeys acquires three GP breeder farms in France

To meet the demands of growing market share in Europe and the Maghreb region, Hybrid Turkeys acquired three Grand-Parent turkey breeder farms in France, along with two additional properties that can be used for future expansion.

The farms are located near Sennevières, in the Indres-et-Loire department , South-East of Tours. All three facilities, built recently, are designed for Grand-Parent turkey egg production and ideally suit the need for Hybrid to add production in Europe.

Eggs produced in the newly acquired farms will be shipped to Hybrid’s European based Parent Stock hatchery which was acquired earlier in 2009.  The objective of Hybrid Turkeys is to serve the turkey industry in Europe and world-wide by adding production infrastructure over more continents to secure customer supply in the most effective way. Following this acquisition, Hybrid Grand-Parent production will be located in Europe, USA, Canada, and Israel, providing a stable supply of turkey genetics for Hybrid customers throughout the world.

Hybrid Turkeys is the turkey breeding division of Hendrix Genetics. The head office, hatcheries, research and pedigree farms are located in Ontario, Canada. Main activities are in the USA, Europe, Latin America, and Canada. Hybrid genetics find their way all over the world.
