Russian Company Cameo-Alpha has announced the implementation of the largest turkey production facility in the region of Novgorod and one of the largest in Russia.
The large investment project will see the construction of a turkey farm for 30,000 tonnes of live weight turkey meat. The company also plans to construct a poultry processing plant and feed mill.
The poultry complex will be created in two stages by a specialised Israeli company which has the necessary experience in construction and commissioning of such enterprises, reports the press-service of the company. The complex will consist of poultry houses and one slaughter house.
According to the press-release, the first phase of the project will require RUB2 billion (US$ 70 mln) of investments and will allow the company to produce 10,000 tonnes of turkey. The second phase will raise the production and processing capacity up to 30,000 tonnes. Total investment in the project is estimated at RUB5 billion (US$170).
