Hy-Line International recently hosted its four-day Technical School which attracted more than 115 customers from over 35 different countries.

The programme included a series of presentations given by Hy-Line Technical Services and Research teams as well as industry experts and also included a visit to Hy-Line facilities.

Customers gathered for the biennial event with a common goal to obtain the knowledge and skills required to achieve the maximum genetic potential from Hy-Line layers. Speakers presented topics ranging from pullet nutrition, biosecurity, infectious disease, hatchery management and egg nutrition.

An entire day was devoted to live demonstrations and workshops as attendees visited Hy-Line’s Dallas Center complex. Presentations included vaccination technique, hatchery breakout and genomic selection and included visits to the Egg Quality Laboratory and a video tour of the Dr. James Arthur Research Farm.

Dr Doug Grieve, Hy-Line’s director of global technical services, stated, “Attendees were given the chance to share their experiences with international colleagues and enhance their knowledge on the latest poultry and egg industry practices and trends.”
