Poultry farm owners in the Kishoreganj and Tangail districts of Bangladesh are running into heavy losses due to price hikes and a cold wave.

Political unrest in the country for over two months now is also one of the reasons for the incurring losses, as customers from Dhaka,
They are also facing problems in preserving medicines and vaccines required for their business, as these are kept in refrigerators, but due to lack of power it was not possible. Farmers face on average a daily loss of over 250 Taka (2.8 euros), and the losses might increase up to 1,500 Taka (17 euros) per day.
