Turkeys culled in German LPAI outbreak

Avian influenza virus subtype H7 has been detected in the German district of Osnabruck.

The mild form of bird flu broke out in two turkey farms located in Lower Saxony. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed last week. All 27,000 turkeys in the farms will now be culled.



The cause of the outbreak is as yet unknown.
