Agricultural holding Avanguard, the largest producers of eggs and egg products in Ukraine and the second largest eggs producer in the world, has announced plans to build two feed mills on the poultry farms “Avis” (Khmelnitsky region) and “Chernobaevsky” (Kherson region) in 2013.
These two feed mills will allow the company to boost its own feed production which is essential to accomate the increasing number of poultry stock. According to the company’s financial report on the London Stock Exchange, each plant is designed with a capacity of about 500,000 tonnes of feed per year.
According to the company’s official report both feed mills will have grain storages with a total capacity of 56,000 tonnes. The feed mill at the poultry farm “Avis” will go into operation in April 2013, and the feed mill on “Chernobaevsky” poultry farm will be operational in the second half of 2013. The total investment for these projects was not disclosed.
The representatives of the agricultural holding also note that the investment project of the increasing of the production capacity of this two poultry farms is undergoing in accordance with the schedule. In particular, the second zone of the farm designed for growing of 1 million heads of young poultry population will be launched on the “Avis” in the first half of 2013, while the enterprise for growing of 2.2 million laying hens while be commissioned in the second half of next year. The production of two new feed mills should meet the demand of the growing poultry stock of the company.
