As hens age, their vitamin requirements change. Vitamin deficiencies in broiler breeder hens not only affect the birds themselves, but also have profound implications for subsequent broiler performance. Vitamin supplements in a breeder feed must therefore ensure that the vitamin requirements of the developing embryo and the chick post hatch are adequately met.
