Meyn launches new Physic In-Line Thigh Deboner M1.0

In response to the growing popularity of dark meat chicken, poultry processing solutions company, Meyn, has introduced the new Physic In-Line Thigh Deboner M1.0. The deboner has a 2-carousel footprint of only 35 square meters and a production capability of converting 15,000 whole legs per hour into boneless thigh fillets, with or without skin. The thigh deboning carousels are integrated within the line, enabling the bypass of legs based on weight and quality.

Lallemand Animal Nutrition introduces a new brand image and website

Lallemand Animal Nutrition has introduced its refreshed brand image, encapsulated in the new slogan ‘Partnering in microbial solutions for a changing world’. With an enhanced design, the company says the website provides a comprehensive media library featuring technical articles, expert webinars and podcasts, which serves as an educational hub for the animal nutrition and animal health community.

Farm Health Guardian and NoveTechechnologies merge to improve on-farm biosecurity

Biosecurity innovators Farm Health Guardian and NoveTechnologies have partnered to launch Protocol to pork and poultry producers in North America. The biosecurity management system utilises facial recognition technology for controlled access of livestock barns.

The Alltech ONE World Tour convenes in Dublin

The second stop of the Alltech ONE World Tour, a series of international events bringing the ideas and inspiration of the annual Alltech ONE Conference to the world, was held in Dublin, Ireland, from 19-20 June. More than 500 international agri-food leaders met to discuss collaborative solutions and strategies for success in today’s agriculture and agri-food industries. The discussions focused on topics relating to climate, conflict, consumer trends and rising costs.

Successful Feeds and Nutrition Course 2023

Many participants from different countries followed the Feeds and Nutrition Course in early June 2023, organised by Schothorst Feed Research. In just 1 week, this course provides a complete overview of feed evaluation, nutritional needs of farm animals, feed and ingredient compositions, raw material handling and processing, nutritional management and feed formulation for the production of feed for dairy cattle, poultry and pigs.

Aviagen renews contract with Ross distributor in Egypt

Aviagen strengthened their collaboration with their exclusive Ross distributor, Wadi Poultry Group, through the renewal of their Grandparent contract, which allows them to distribute Ross parent stock chicks into the Egyptian market. Wadi Group was established in 1984 with a small-scale poultry operation. The company specializes in rearing, breeding, hatching and selling broiler parents, commercial broiler and layer day-old chicks.

Adisseo presents Mycopedia guidebook of mycotoxins in feed

Adisseo has presented key findings from over 50 years of research concentrated in a single practical guidebook, Mycopedia, through which the compnay aims to empower industry professionals, who may not be experts in these toxins but require comprehensive knowledge to mitigate their adverse effects, with the latest in insights and opinions from academic and industry experts in the field. The book has references over 1,000 scientific publications and has more than 30 contributing experts.

Nutrition Technologies announces a new investor

Nutrition Technologies has welcomed Bunge Ventures, the for-profit principal investing arm of Bunge, a global agribusiness, food, feed and ingredients company, as an investor. Nutrition Technologies has a proprietary controlled industrial microbial decomposition process that uses Black Soldier Fly Larvae to bio-convert food waste and industrial organic by-products diverted from landfills. The company’s patent-pending fermentation technology also provides a scalable platform for a range of insect-based products for crop health and animal feed.

CP Foods promotes digitisation at tech show

Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods) hosted the ‘CPF the NeXt Tech Show’, an event aimed at embracing digitisation, while ensuring food security and promoting sustainability. More than 100 digital technologies, applications, and innovations for agriculture and livestock were showcased from more than 30 partner organisations across the globe.

DLG opens North American office

The DLG (German Agricultural Society) has established its first DLG representative office in North America. Located in Saskatoon, Canada, the office will be managed by Brad Michnik who has been appointed sales representative. Michnik brings more than 30 years of agricultural experience including farm equipment expertise to his role.

Novus adds to the poultry team in Latin America

José Luis Muñoz Orozco is the newest member of the poultry team at Novus International. Muñoz joined the team in June to provide strategic development of key accounts in Mexico. Muñoz offers customers in Mexico more than 12 years of experience in the animal nutrition industry, where his focus has been on how nutrition and feed additives can improve production efficiency and gut health while being conscientious of environmental sustainability.
